Honorifics

jewel

The Province wishes to acknowledge the generosity of its Brethren by issuing a free Festival Jewel to all qualifying Brethren. These are held by the Festival Committee and Area Directors. Each Brother upon qualifying as a Festival Steward will receive a notification letter from the Festival Secretary and asked to return the slip provided indicating whether he wishes:

a) to receive his Jewel in open Lodge by a nominated person

b) to receive his jewel in private

c) not to receive a jewel.

Once the Festival Secretary receives your reply, if you have requested  a jewel he will inform your Area Director who will arrange the presentation through your Lodge Charity Steward. The presentation will take place according to the recipient's wishes, in or at his nominated Lodge by The Area Director , Festival Director or the Lodge Visiting Grand Lodge Officer. If a member of The Provincial Executive (PGM; DepPGM; APGM) is due to make a visit either Officially or in a private capacity, he will be pleased to make the presentation. Any Brother who feels he has qualified and has not after a reasonable period received a letter of notification from the Festival Secretary he should inform his Lodge Charity Steward who will contact the Festival Secretary for clarification. Please bear in mind that the Festival Secretary only receives notification from the RMTGB on a monthly basis.

The Province fully understands that it may not be within every Brother's means to qualify for the various honorifics and greatly appreciates all donations made.

All Brethren are encouraged to become a Festival Steward by donating a minimum of £480 (Excluding Interest and Gift Aid tax reclaimed) towards the 2021 Festival Appeal. This equates to a regular contribution of £8 per month over 5 years. Once donating or promising to donate by regular Standing Order the sum of £480 those qualifying will receive an email notification from the Festival Secretary and can apply to receive a Festival Jewel free of charge.

Patronage of the Royal Masonic Trust for Girls and Boys

Please note that the Trust has its own honorific levels of patronage as Vice-Patron (£300)  Patron (£600) or Grand Patron (£1200) of the RMTGB and those so qualifying for the RMTGB's honorifics will receive notification direct from the Trust. Please note the qualifying donations for RMTGB patronage may have accumulated over a number of years, prior to the launch of our Festival. Please note also that RMTGB does not issue jewels or bars for their honorifics and that Patronage of the RMTGB is entirely separate from our Festival Honorifics, though by donating to the Festival, Brethren may of course also qualify for patronage of the Trust.
