At the recent meeting of Eardulph Lodge No. 6645 in Chester le Street, the Eardulph brethren welcomed the Assistant Provincial Grand Master, Simon Craig Steele, to its May 2018 meeting.
After witnessing an excellent Third Degree Ceremony, carried out by the Past Masters of the Lodge, Craig then had the great pleasure in presenting the Lodge with its Gold Durham 2021 Festival Award.
Eardulph Lodge join the other 22 Lodges in the Province who have attained the Durham 2021 Festival Gold Award. Craig praised the Lodge members for the fantastic achievement, before presenting Steven Piercy, the Worshipful Master of the Lodge, with a framed Gold Durham 2021 Festival Certificate in acknowledgement of the Lodge achieving 100% of its Festival Target.
Craig congratulated the Lodge for achieving the Gold award in only two and a half years and then presented Stephen Willis, the Lodge’s Charity Steward, with a Durham 2021 Festival Gold Pin Badge, which can be worn throughout the Festival period until 2021.
This was a proud evening for Stephen Willis this being his first Lodge meeting, since receiving his Grand Rank appointment, at the Annual Investiture Meeting of the United Grand Lodge of England on 25th April 2018.
