River Tyne Cruise – update

WBro Allan Gurney of Fawcett Lodge is organising a Tyne River Cruise, in aid of the Durham 2021 Festival. This event is open to all Masons, and their families and friends. The only requirement is that everyone should be aged 18 or over.

The boat is booked for Friday 6th May. We will be boarding from the Newcastle quayside (about 75 yards from the Millennium Bridge) from 7-30pm. We depart at 8pm prompt. Return to the quayside will be about 11pm, and we have to be off the boat by midnight.

The ‘cruise’ goes down river to Tynemouth, turning around at the breakwater between Tynemouth and South Shields. During our cruise, there will be a buffet (usually hot and cold food, and usually very good). There is an on-board bar, and we will have a raffle. There is a dance floor for the energetic with music provided. But most people are content to eat, watch, chat, and drink. All profits from the evening will be going to the 2021 Festival.

Cost: £26 covers everything except raffle tickets.

Deposit: £10 by 27th January. Cash ideally; but cheques made payable to me will not be cashed until I have to pay the deposit to the company.
